Chemical peels are treatments that involve applying a chemical solution to the skin to treat a variety of concerns including melasma, hyperpigmentation, acne, acne scarring and wrinkles. There are three main types of chemical peels: superficial peels, medium peels, and deep peels. We offer all levels of peels in our office.

Superficial Peels:
These peels are the mildest option, targeting the outer layer of the skin (epidermis). They typically use alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) or beta-hydroxy acids (BHAs) to improve skin texture, tone, and mild discoloration. Superficial peels are often used to freshen up the skin and require minimal downtime.
Medium Peels:
Medium peels penetrate the outer and middle layers of the skin to remove damaged skin cells. They usually utilize trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and are effective in treating sun damage, wrinkles, and uneven skin pigmentation. Medium peels may require some downtime for recovery as the skin peeling is more significant.
Deep Peels:
Deep peels penetrate the middle layer of the skin to remove damaged skin cells. They often use phenol or high concentrations of TCA to address deep wrinkles, scars, and precancerous growths. Deep peels typically yield dramatic results but require the longest downtime and careful post-peel care.
